We often get asked, how do I train for a 5K if I’ve never done one before?

Take the first step with support from Team Novo Nordisk's FREE 8-week 5K training plans to help you get ready for the 5K@ADA Virtual Challenge. Each week, a Team Novo Nordisk athlete or ambassador will guide you through the training plans with training tips and videos.

What is Team Novo Nordisk?

Team Novo Nordisk is the world’s first all diabetes professional cycling team. All TNN athletes compete with type 1 diabetes. They race to inspire, educate and empower everyone affected by diabetes, and to promote an active and healthy lifestyle as they compete against the best athletes in the world.

Use the training plans below to help you prepare to run or walk the 5K@ADA, as together we raise public awareness about the importance of a healthy lifestyle in preventing and controlling diabetes. The weekly training schedules will be posted on @5K_ADA, so be sure to follow along!
